About Textile is a general informational website. We aim to provide useful content while handling personal information carefully and collecting only what is needed for the site to operate and respond to readers.

Information We May Collect

If you voluntarily email About Textile, we receive the email address and the information you choose to include. The site does not currently provide a working contact or newsletter delivery service, so forms displayed in the interface do not send entered addresses to a mailing provider.

When you visit a website, basic technical information may be generated by the hosting infrastructure, such as an IP address, browser and device information, requested page, referrer and access time. This information may be available in server logs for security, reliability and troubleshooting. We do not use it to build a personal profile.

About Textile does not intentionally request age, gender, home address, telephone number or precise location through this website.

How Information May Be Used

Articles may link to external websites, standards organizations, educational resources or other services. A link does not give About Textile control over that service. External websites may collect information under their own privacy policies, which should be reviewed before information is submitted.

The site does not currently embed a video platform or advertising network. If embedded resources or other third-party scripts are added, they may receive technical request information required to deliver their content.

Data Retention

Information sent directly to About Textile is retained only for as long as needed to respond, investigate a correction, maintain a relevant editorial record or satisfy a legal requirement. Routine technical logs may be retained by hosting infrastructure for security and operational purposes according to that provider’s practices.

Your Choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. You may also request correction or deletion of personal information you directly submitted to About Textile, subject to information we need to retain for security, legal or editorial record purposes. About Textile is a general informational website and is not intentionally directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.
